I'm usually not a fan either. With SN95s, itventirely depends on the car color. A black Cobra can look very sinister with tinted tails. It has to have the right look though.
Also, you are pretty much on your own should you happen to get rear ended. If insurance sees your tails, odds are they will fight with you on coverage.
Not to mention it's just dangerous. Brake lights are the only way for someone to see you slowing down.
They sell kits for our cars, where it's just a film if you wanted to try them out.
I liked the look so I bought the tint from AM. Once I installed them I took them off. You could see the brake lights at night, but not during the day. I didn't want to get rear ended.
