Ok, im in a hurry to get this 4.6 2v together due to time constraints, and i forgot to mark the alignment on the timing chain links. how many links apart are the "shiny links" on a new chain?

Yea, I came across that thread also, but those were marks he made. The factory chains don't have marks, at least these didn't, and I can't find anyone in the area with new chains in stock. So I figured someone reading might have a new set and could count off how many links separate the marks.

Yeah I know he made those marks. But if you look at the chains youll see little circles on the end links. At least thats what I had when I did my cams, and I marked them just so I could see them better.

well i got it together, so simple. All you do is lay the chain down so it is stretched into two rows right next to eachother and mark the links at either end. Makes sense................
