Just rolled over 95K and getting ready to do the timing belt on the 03 SVTF.... what special tools do I need for this?

Looking for input from people who have actually done this job themselves -not their buddy. Searching is giving me mixed results. The PDF is telling me I need a camshaft alignment plate, crankshaft timing peg and locking tool. Do I really need these? Other places are telling me I need a torx bit? Other people tell me I dont need any of this stuff.

...if you've done it, what did you use?

Thanks

I did one a few months ago. You will need the bar and the pin. You can buy them as a set. You will also need a lot of odds and ends things like torx bits. It is really not that bad. My only problem was having to run back and forth to the store to get the misc tools. I also needed an impact to remove the crank bolt. I was stumped for awhile about the bar that slides onto the cams. It just wouldnt fit. Turns out I had to rotate the cams over.
