Well I live in PA and a trip down to MB is 10 hours one way for me, so that wouldnt happen. I just cant believe his smug remark walking away from the car. I forgot to post that in his walk back to his bike he said "Now if you show up for court, I can help with the fine." Now who in their right mind, unless they knew they could get off of the ticket scot-free would they waste $200 in gas and $100 on a hotel to have the fine dropped slightly, as there were no points involved. I wouldnt have just sat there quiet as that would have given him a reason to be more stern. I was trying to be helpful and give the officer all the information he requested to aid him, in hopes that he would let me off. BTW, I just had court for my very first speeding ticket ever today. 12mph over, and I took it to court to ask the judge's mercy and that it was unintentional and that I was following the flow of traffic. Welp, off to the DA's office to appeal his ruling. He heard my side, said "Intention is not necessary for a guilty ruling" and finished by saying that I can see the window to setup a payment plan or pay the fine. I requested information to appeal and thats where I'm going with it. I'm just looking for points to come off. I dont care if the fine goes up! I'd rather pay the state more money, as that money goes to support people who risk their lives everyday, rather than some big wigs at an insurance company every year.
