thunderbird w/cobra engine swap

??? Ok I was going to do a sc cobra motor swap one day. Does the 03-04 sc cobra motors have 2v or 4v heads on them? I know stupid question.

wow....they are 4 cam 4 valve/cyl heads....

the dohc 4.6 will go right in as it was in a car with the same chassis, the mk8 nad the mk8 came with the 4.6 dohc from the factory

they sure did. they all have different ignitions and other small differances though. i also belive the 4.6 SOHC engines can be converted over with DOHC heads and intakes....hence these engines are "modular". the 03-04 cobra block is besically a reworked/cnc mustang gt block...

you cut the cat off the left manifold, and weld the flange back on, it comes into about the same place that your stock t-bird V-8 exhaust goes to, so basically its a bolt in process, the only thing you have to do is extend some wires, change out some connectors, and get a tune for your stock V-8 eec to work with the DOHC motor.
just my.02 cus i been lookin into doin this swap over summer timeish.
