What’s your pulley setup? Do you have a snub idler?

I run a 2.9 upper and no slip.

Where is the tensioner tab sitting? That doesn't sound like an overly aggressive set up.

As for Thump I ran one of their tensioners on my 01 with the F1A. At 19psi there was no indication of slip.

That combo should have no issue with belt slip.
Two pulls and the boost falls off at 15lbs. Should be closer to 20lbs. Brand new vmp 2.3. The tuner is a very reputable tuner here in the midwest. Idk what else it'd be

If you don't have a snub idler and your tuner is recommending a $500 fix instead of the $150 fix then he is either incompetent or wants to sell you a more expensive part.

Yep.

Take a look at the gap between the two sides of the belt under your upper pulley.

Now imagine it only having a 1/4” gap or less right under the upper pulley.

That’s how much more surface contact you’ll get.
