A TOB is usually around $30-$50 for the part, off the top of my head. Installation? Well to get to the TOB, your transmission has to be removed. The labor is about 2/3 of what it takes to get your clutch replaced. So, figure a few hundred bucks in labor depending on the shop you go to.

After you get the TOB replaced, make sure your clutch is properly adjusted. If your clutch pedal has enough free play so that the clutch fork isn't resting on the TOB, your TOB should last a good long time.

Since you're already paying most of the labor for a clutch job, you might want to have the condition of your clutch checked, and possibly replace that while the tranny is out.

And in case nobody else mentions it, having the trans out makes for a perfect opportunity to do the LDC cooling mod. It's cheap insurance--I had it installed on my Cobra when the clutch was replaced.
