Thinking about buying an 08 F150, playing the numbers game.

Today I went and test drove an 2008 F150 FX4. I have had my eye on this kind of truck for a while now (used) but it seems like they are trying to give new trucks away. Here are the numbers, I haven't bought a new car since my 04 Cobra.

Total Vehicle & Options 37920 + Dest & Delivery 925 = $38845.00 (Captains Chairs Discount -695.00 = 38150.00

MSRP is 38150.00
Invoice is 34826.50

The dealership says they can sell me the truck at Invoice plus an additional 5k in rebates ect. All together after sales tax, tag, title I'm looking at having to finance 32k.

That does everyone think?

Thats a pretty good deal as long as they are not raping you on the financing. FYI, the 09s will feature an update 5.4L (320hp and 390 ft lbs) plus a 6 speed auto. Just thought I would throw that out there in case that would be of interest.

Well, I ended up buying the truck. :banana:

I really like the truck. It is a silver supercrew FX4, black interior. I thought the deal was outstanding. I bought GAP coverage and a wheel/tire protection package. OTD I spend right at 33k. That was nothing more that me putting ink on paper.

You got a great deal on yours. My 06 has everything yours has except the backup camera and mine's only a supercab. I payed almost 10 grand more than you though.

Congrats I picked up a new 08 Lariat for 34,000.00 or so; so I think you got a good deal . Enjoy your truck. Mine was just going to be a spare or back up but I drive the thing all the time. I have an X3, AF1 intake, and Roush exhaust on it for now.

I have another vehicle I drive daily, its a jeep and doesn't get much better gas mileage so I may end up selling it and driving my truck full time. I didn't buy it for gas mileage anyway.
