Here are a few things that you guys may not know about the Raptor:

Tires are not off the shelf BFGs. SVT worked with BFG to develop a
Raptor-specific tires that works well on road, sand, dirt, rock, and
snow.

The frame is the exact same frame found on the base F-150. However,
the suspension mounting brackets are different to accommodate the
sizable hardware Raptor uses.

Raptor is the first Ford-badged vehicle to have Hill Descent.

The off-road mode changes the ABS thresholds so that you can actually
build up dirt/sand/gravel with front wheel lock-up. This actually
decreases stopping distances off road.

This is the first SVT vehicle with no engine modifications for more
power. Most of the engineering on the Raptor went into the chassis and
drivetrain.

You guys who work at DTP want to share any production details about the truck? Perhaps something like how the assembly of it differs from the regular F-150s.

Is this the same system as used by Land Rover and if so, was it developed by LR or Ford? If it is the same system then that should bode well for its reliability since it will not be an untested system.

Glad to see Ford went ahead with this project with specific parts designed for it and nice to see the SVT nameplate on a 2010 model:rockon:
