Bought a neglected 03 termi as a project. Trying to find time to tinker with it is hard... Looking under the hood today I see a 200a fuse on a large gauge wire going from the power distribution box to the starter... the box was hacked up to fit... Any ideas what it's for? It's not going to anything else but between the two that I can see. Doesn't make sense to me. I took the cover off the fuse to show.

Are you sure it goes to the starter and not the alternator? If so, looks like the guy did an upgraded alternator with wire upgrade.

Agree with Joe that's an alternator wiring upgrade. Fuse is there to protect the wire.
most likely part of a big three upgrade- and as they said it’s more likely for the alternator. I have a lot of videos on the terminator, so if you have questions just let me know. you can just comment on my videos.
