"THEFT" light is on continuously in my 99 Cobra

The red "THEFT" light is staying on all the time in my 99 Cobra, whether the car is off or running. The PATS seems to be working since my spare key is not allowing my car to run. What is the wrong and what do I need to do to fix it? I don't want to get stranded somewhere out on the road...

Is the car stock or does it have a after market tune?

It has an XCal 3 tune from Amazon.

I had my pats shut off with my tune but the light still blinks when the car is started and runs for the first 5-10 minutes. Check with your tuner and see if that's what is going on with yours.

Did you try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes then hooking it back up? My 97 does something similar, and won't go off until I pull the negative battery cable.
