Th400 swap

Anyone done one yet for the s550? Hoping a shifter like the tci outlaw or something will still work with the manual trans center console and boot. Worst case an auto center console section.

Please dont suggest the R680, its not enough for where i want to go. If i wanted that trans id have ordered the car with it.

Havent seen a post in this section about the swap.

Where might you want to go? The 6R80 has been low 8's

Watson Racing has a Turbo400 in their S550...

7.90s, to low 8s. I know its been there. But they give up a lot of et. That same car in low 8s with it would go a nice bit faster with a th400. Plus they dont handle as much abuse. Also i want to still shift similar to a manual. I spoke to watson racing on Wednesday. I somewhat got some answers. Using the hurst they use doesnt work with the center console. They couldnt tell me on another style.

Also id like to thank you for helping. Everyone else chose to ignore it.

Also i doubt the r680 will hold out on a 3600-3700lbs with driver. All the low 8 r680s ive seen are gutted to around 3200lbs with driver
