TH400 swap. who has done it, how is it on the street?

Pulling the T56 out of my car tomorrow. TH400 has been ordered.

Who here has done this swap and how is it on the street and highway? Any install pics(shifter )?

i have it and its good on the street i have 28 inch tall tires and 3.27 gears and i can cruise at 70mph no issue.
just keep it cool

Ya I'll be running a 28 as well but with a 3:73. Going to mount the trans cooler behind the cobra emblem in the front of the car above the heat exchanger.

I ran one with a 28" tall drag radial and 3.55's. With the turbo set up I had the car was very streetable, I really liked it. I carefully trimmed out the ashtray area and moved the shifter back there, I was going to have a leather boot made to finish it off but never got around to it before I changed set ups.
