I really had no idea what to expect from my new solid axle setup.
I'm still running 315 Nittos which are horribly over-powered.
Anyway...
Lined up and dropped the hammer at 4K rpm. Roasted the tires
to the tune of a 2.2 60'. Too aggressive...should've slipped it.
Peddled 1st a few times. Peddled all of 2nd then short shifted into 3rd.
Powershifted 4th...ran out of rpm and had to go to fifth? :dw: I guess
my calcamalations were wrong (26" tires & 3.90 gear).
The whole pass was a complete debacle. However, I was extremely
impressed with the SRA. It hits like a goshed damned ton of bricks out of
the hole. It squats real nice and the tires are firmly planted...spinning for
now...but planted. I can't wait to get a slick on it in the spring.
Question:
What slick tire (height) would you guys recommend for track usage?
I'm still going to run the Nittos on the street. My car sits pretty low in
back too so I'm not sure how much tire I can squeeze in there.
