Hello.

I am new to this site. I have an '04 GT.

I found a blower from an 03 cobra cheap. I contacted the guys from Tork Tech and they told me they have a kit to bolt and drive the blower, but they had a list of things that I would need to get.

Has anyone here tried this? Does anyone have any parts from their cobra's sitting on a shelf they no longer use, ie cooler etc?

Any help is always appreciated.

there are a lot better ways to make power than this kit...sink $3500 into a more suitable power adder like a turbo kit or a kenne bell for your 2v. I'll be going hellion come summer next year.

Don't do it.

Buy a 4V Terminator long block and get the blower for cheap from this forum in the Market section.

If you can't afford a new 4V, then get one (along with ECU, etc) from a junkyard with similar or less mileage than the engine you currently have.

You'll probably end up spending less.

Im currently doing this on my forged/cammed 5.4 Gt. Gathering parts is not that bad but it is time consuming. So far i have spent $2500~ including the 5.4 spacers. Only thing i need now is a couple of nuts/bolts and gaskets. Once i have more $$$ i will step it up to a KB

Would you be able or willing to let me know where and what parts you had to hunt down. Just trying to figure out everything I am going to need to pull this off.

From the top of my head:

M112
Plenum
Throttle body (You can use a mach 1 or a 99/01 cobra)
Vacuum Lines
IAT2 Sensor (You can block it off like i did)
IAT Sensor from a lightning
Heat Exchanger with brackets (Im making my own brackets)
Heat Exchanger lines
Heat Exchanger Resevoir
I/C pump with pigtail
IAC
Bypass actuator
Lightning MAF
Injectors of your choice
Fuel pump of your choice
Sensor tree (the one that sits on the driver side of the blower)
Throttle/Cruise cable bracket
Throttle/Cruise cables (you can reuse yours but you'll need some spacers cause it'll be long)

I may be forgetting something else but thats about it off of the top of my head. Most of the parts i got from here or mach1registry. The bypass actuator i got it from ebay.

Not a problem man, just remember that some of the stuff you can either make or re-use from what you already have.

Dang Ortiz you're everywhere. Turnpike is my Bro in law

Before long we'll have 2 boosted stangs in the driveway

Should be starting the turbo install this weekend

Good luck on the build man. Make sure you make a thread over there on 3.8.
