Temp Gauge Issue?

My temp gauge typically stays around the middle of R-M - even in 100 degree weather (Oklahoma City).

This morning I noticed it moving from N-O-R-M - forward and back.
This occurred at moving both on city streets and highway, and while idling.
The temp this morning was about 78.

Thoughts?

Test your gauge first to see if it is OK. If the gauge is fine than it's your temp gauge sensor that is likely the problem. I had the same issue with my gauge acting erraticly. I put in a new sensor and problem was solved. Gauge functions properly again. The sensor for the gauge is on the drivers side on the cross over tube. The one on the passenger side sends signal to the PCM.
