I won a writing contest back in Junior high. Received a $100.00 check for the efforts. Other than that, I've never won anything of value.

My wife and I won $1000 for a Halloween costume contest a few years ago.

I recently won a $50 Amex card for filing out a customer survey from a vendor at work.

Our dog won a local newspaper contest for cutest dog, but the prize was just a pro photo shoot.

Grocery shopping with Dad in my early teens, saw a Mr Whipple display, and started squeezing the Charmin. Store employee jumped out from behind the display, rings a bell and made me think I'd been busted, but I won a free 6-roll of brand spanking new buttwipe! Beyond that, I've won diddly-squat beyond free fast-food coupons and the like.

The only things I've worried about winning since school were contracts & bids...

Back in school:
-400m state champ (soph, junior, senior)
-800m state champ (junior, senior)
-Team track state champ (senior)
-Football state champs (fresh, soph, junior)
-Won a whole host of district & regional trophies too...
-Academically: I won a couple scholarships, local & state science fairs, won a graphing calculator for having the highest SAT in my school district, won a couple envirothons, etc.

As a grown up, I can't even win $5 on a scratch off...

In the 5280'
18 free games of bowling through my league this past month, a 100 over average USBC (US Bowling Congress) watch in 2006, and a 200+ game patch in 2006.

I also once won a $25 gift certificate to Jason's Deli for a good sports smack talk phone call back in Kansas City, and another $25 gift certificate to a bar in the Waldo area for the email of the week to the same sports talk radio show.

I still have a partial recording of the guys at the station reading that email on the air...:lol1: (as a KU Jayhawks fan I was talking smack on MU Tigers). This was from 2006.
Email of the week

I used to be signed up on the Denver Broncos forums gameday experience giveaway, if you were one of the first 100 fans to login, you got whatever the item was that was being given away at the gates for gameday and the Broncos would mail it to you. I got an Al Wilson poster, some Broncos coasters, a Team poster, a windsock, and some other stuff I can't even remember.
