*Teksid timing chain tensioner guide pins??*

[Sweet '96 Cobra]

Just a quick question, have any of you ever upgraded the timing tensioner guide pins when you built a teksid based engine? The stock ones are 6mm and there are some 8mm ones from cobra engineering available, would like to make sure the 6mm ones will hold up and just curious if any of you have ever had any issues with them?

Would like to just use the 6mm ones if possible, providing they will hold up?

I installed the Cobra Engineering on my Teksid. Buddy of mine recommended it as a precautionary step and Im glad I did out of the car. He just changed his over in his car and it wasnt pretty. Bottom line, a worthwhile investment for the money and peace of mind.

Why? The iron blocks already have the larger pins!

The iron blocks come with M8 dowel pins.

I upgraded mine on the Teksid build.
For the cost it is silly not to.
Don't want to frag a motor over a $20 part.
