I'm looking to get some insight from someone that has done a Mark VIII or 96-98 cobra motor swap into their Mach 1's. I'm looking for a budget swap right now just to get my car up and running again for about a year or so while I can hopefully build up a better motor over that time.
My questions are if I grab a 96-98 cobra motor what do I need to look out for during the swap?
I've read briefly about knock sensors, the intakes not matching up, swapping the valve covers over to support the cop.
Will our wiring harness match up to this motor completely? Can I just run their intake and fuel system? Any problems with the IMRC's? To swap to the COP system for that motor I can just swap the valve covers correct?
Any input or links to what I'm looking for would be greatly appreciated!
