Technical writers?

Hey y'all,

I'll be doing an internship this summer as a technical writer, and it looks as it has a promising career path once I looked at it more.

Is anyone here in that field that can give me advice, expectations, etc?

I'll be working with Allscripts, a healthcare-based solutions company.
