Hey, guys--

I recently scanned for CEL codes when I had the plastic tubes in the intake manifold pop off and throw a 'Lean' CEL on me. I also had an 'Evap' code in there, as well.

I've begun to notice that, 2 seconds after turning the engine OFF, there is a whooshing sound coming from the passenger side of the engine bay. It lasts maybe 1-2 seconds, as if something is releasing pressure. The closest sound I can use to describe it is a turbocharged engine's blow-off valve.

Anybody know if the Evap CEL and this whooshing sound are related? Any fixes?

Help is greatly appreciated.

If its the sound im thinking it is then its the a/c or some type of vacum realeasing. My truck does it everytime i cut it off. It will quit a lot quicker if when the truck is completly cut off you wait till the rpms are 0 then mash the pedal a little bit. youll here a loud woosh sound but the noise goes away quicker.

The woosh is the vacuum release of the supercharger recirc when you turn the truck off.
