How often should it be cleaned ???

I looked at mine yesterday as I was changing my spark plugs and it looks pretty clean to me, but the car also has over 30K miles on it.

Any suggestions on when/how often and what/how to clean it ?

It really shouldn't ever get that dirty, but if you want to take it off and clean it, make sure to remove the bypass sensor and clean it with carb cleaner and a toothbrush. Just make sure it is all dry before you put it back on.
