July 2008 I parked my 35k mile >500rwhp cobra. I became a dad... now at 33. With a smart 11 year old boy I am ready. It will be his high school graduation car. (My dream) I will be going in for a liver transplant at the end of 2020. I want to drive my son in his car(incase). I always wanted a 2.4kb on the car. Now I see we are doing TVs blowers and return fuel systems also we have the sct 4 tuner. Any opinions on how to bring this AMAZING car back? I have missed you all but 2 scares and TONS of hospital visits later I'm back.

Depends on the goal. If you're staying pump gas get the 2.4, better pumps, injectors and MAF then call it a day. I went Whipple because its what I always wanted.

You mean 2.3 right?

I like the wheels, what kind are they? Best of luck on the project. If the car has sat an extended period I'd look at finding away to prime the engine with oil.

He mentioned the KB 2.4 in his post. So that's why I said get the 2.4.

The kenne bell 2.4 doesn't exist anymore. You would end up having to buy used and good luck finding one. If your plan is to give this car to your son I would get an emissions legal kit like the 2.6 just incase he ends up somewhere later in life that has smog requirements.

I say this because it seems like this is something you want to give your son that he holds onto for ever and I wouldn't want to make it hard to keep the car down the road.

I'd get the 2.6, either a BAP or new pumps and call it a day.
