Taking the stripes off

A firend of mine just scored a GT500 with a FRPP upgraded blower for $39k and it's a great vehicle and i plan to get one. My question is what is the best way to take the stripes off without re-painting the entire car, damaging the paint in any way ?

warm them up with a hair dryer and peel off. Use detail spray and a microfiber cloth to remove residue - they are simply 3M vinyl, nothing special.
