T56 swap

I blew 4th gear out of my mt-82 last sat night and I'm wanting to switch over to a t56. I have a friend that has a t56 out of a camaro and I'm just wondering if anyone knows what all is needed to make it work or if it would work. I know that I'll need a new clutch and drive shaft but are the t56 ford and the t56 Chevy any different as far as internals. I'm guessing I would need to get a speedo sensor but anything else. Thanks for any info.

Output shaft more than likely is different. What year is the t56 from?

Well according to dd performance it won't work guess ill just come up with 4500 for a new setup.

Yea the shifter is in the wrong location and you would have to do a mcleod aftermarket throw out bearing. It would be expensive to piece it all together.
