I read something about the reverse lockout on the magnum needing to be wired in but that may have been an older mustang issue. I'm on info overload right now with all the reading. I may be leaning Magnum, even though i think my t56 is ok. Well i got everything out the car. Clutch fork had a ton of play and the TOB sleeve was all caked up with grit and didn't move freely. Here are pics of the clutch, what you guys think?

The throwout bearing sleeve was so caked up with gunk, the bearing wouldn't slide back and forth freely. It felt like glue on the sleeve. Clutch fork also had a ton of play. It most likely was causing my issues. I had started the car again later that day and the noise stopped. Fluid was very clean. Trans spins very free and smooth out of the car. Still thinking about a trans upgrade regardless.

A bad TOB can sound like that. Loading it can make the noise go away.

Plus it was the loudest by the fork opening. Too bad you didnt have a stethoscope handy

Hows it feel spinning by hand
