Im no expert, but how do you know it's the trans for sure? Lot of other things to check to be sure. Clutch, shifter, cable, ect. Hopefully it's something that won't cost you too much. Good luck.
Yes, a stretched clutch cable, bent fork etc.... will cause the same condition. Take the inspection cover off the the trans and make sure the clutch fork is moving properly when the clutch is fully engaged and it is releasing also. Dont just assume it is the trans. GL!
Ya the tob sleeve was cracked it would make a rtick sound at idle when not in gear so I had a new ram clutch flywheel and lethal tob sleeve put in hopefully good news tomorrow
