Will a 99 Cobra T-45 work in my 96? I know 99's have the electronic speed sensor but will my mechanical speedo cable just bolt into the hole on the tailshaft where the 99 electronic sensor was?

It'll work. You just need to swap the tailshafts and housings. its pretty easy.
Not to mention the 99's got the tremec t-45's which had updated shift forks and syncro's.

Anyone??? I'm getting ready to tear down my busted tranny, hoping to get some in-sight.
ok yeah i got a question since on the subject.... my tranny is going out already.... i have a chance to get a tr3650 from a 01 cobra..... would it be worth the swap?? the tr3650 has a new mcleod clutch as well.... what do you guys think?
I mid-way through swapping the tail shafts, just stuck on the c-clips. Once I get done I'll post some pics.
