When I press the Media button a message at the bottom of the screen says, "Connection error - Contact Dealer.
Any advice before I take her to the dealer.
Wow that's a first. I would try removing the negative battery cable for about 5 mins then restart. My wife's explorer has my ford touch, which is different from sync, but had a similar problem connecting to a phone. The reset fixed it. Good luck, hope you can avoid a trip to the dealer.
I'm sure disconnecting the battery does the same thing, but I pulled the SYNC fuse on my Shelby and the wife's Edge when it acted up. Fixed both of them and not a problem afterwards. Good luck.
