Retirement Plan??

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel
stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have $16.50 left of the original
$1000.

With WorldCom, you would have less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Delta Air Lines
stock you would? have $49.00 left.

If you had purchased? United Airlines, you would
have nothing left.
But, if you had purchased $1000.00 worth of beer one
year ago, drank all the beer,
then turned in the cans for recycling, you would have $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice
is to drink heavily and recycle.

This is called the 401-Keg Plan

The math on the beer cans doesn't add up to me. We will take a case of bud light for example. 24 cans of beer will run you about $19.00. It takes about 28 cans to make a pound. The $1000 will buy you about 52.63 cases of beer at 24 beers a case, which is about 1263.16 beers. Divide that by 28 cans to make a pound, and you have 45 pounds. Scrap aluminum value was around .70 a pound around here at its high a few months ago which is about $31.57 for a thousand dollars worth of bud light cans.

scary to think about. and who says we are not in a recession?

they haven't recalculated the numbers yet, so officially we are not. however, a lot of economists believe that the numbers will support your claim. they should be out in a couple of months, iirc.

I know it's all in fun. I would like to see a chain letter that is full of facts for once though.
