http://www.svtperformance.com/forum...tp-nation-mustang-week-2012-day-5-cruise.htmlThe fifth and final day of Mustang Week is my kind of day. After the hustle and bustle of the previous day's car show preparation the more relaxed atmosphere of the cruise-in is a much welcomed respite. You could say that the day has a bit of a "southern"pace. Things get started a little later than the day before and the event seems to proceed a little slower as well. I even managed to sneak out of the SVTP booth to look a few cars, a minor miracle in and of itself.
SVTP had a little something extra going on during Mustang Week this year, we introduced the SVTP Foundation. It will be the charity portion of the site that raise money for the causes the members would like to support. We decided to start it off right with a raffle for a Power Wheels SVT F-150 Raptor that we sent to Ford and had the SVT engineers who worked on the Raptor program sign. Lethal Performance and Late Model Restoration both made sizable contributions to the cause as well. In the end we raised over $650 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (I went ahead and made it an even $1000) and I'll be delivering the truck to the winner this weekend.
We have a few photos of the event to share, and will have more of the SVTP Foundation Raptor in another thread in the next couple days:
