SVT Oil Temp Gage

While doing HPDE events, high revs for extended periods, my oil temp goes up to "overheat". The car temp gage stays normal. Does the oil temp gage actually tell temp, or is the computer just responding to extended high rev conditons.

mine does the same think. it isn't a real oil temp guage, it uses a calculation to say the oil temp. don't worry though, the car doesn't actually overheat. i foudn that when i use my a/c, the guages don't change. Maybe bypassing the cooling fans will help too!

oil temp gauge is calculation by reading from the engine coolant temp and rpm's. its a real gauge just a different design and not a good one at that. i never had a problem w/ mine
