If there are any SVT dealers on here, I am looking to trade my 2009 GT500 currently listed here for sale:

http://www.svtperformance.com/forum...ll-280/596407-2009-gt500-sale-2010-order.html

I was hoping to trade or buy outright a 2010 that my local dealer has on order but now they have decided to try and sell the car for $4,000 over sticker. I am willing to deal for invoice plus but not above MSRP.

The car I am looking for is the base model with invoice at $43,655 and MSRP at $48,175. I prefer Red but may consider another color.

These are the numbers I am looking for.

2010 Invoice plus $1,000............$44,700
2009 trade in............................$37,700

Trade balance of $7,000 in cash. This should generate a dealer profit of $2,000 on the 2010 and any additional they can get for the 2009 above the $37,700. If a Dealer can get a buyer lined up for the 2009 in advance they would come out a little better on the deal. Not a really great deal for either of us but.. the economy is not the best right now and sometimes we have to take what we can get. I appreciate any of you that will take a look at it for me.

Please PM me with your best trade difference if you are interested. I am unable to purchase outright untill my 2009 is sold.

Thanks

you're probably gonna take a huge hit with your trade in.

What you have to remember is that whatever factors affect the resale value of our used GT 500s will also affect the selling price of the 2010.:-D You can already see it on the new 2010 GT mustang.

So in the end it will all work out. The problem will be finding a dealer who will take trades on a GT 500 of any year as the market is so small for this car right now. That in mind, buyers for new 2010 models will also be few and far between. I only paid $43,000 (invoice) for my 2009 in December of 2008 and paid cash so I am in pretty good shape on it. If I am unable to trade then I will be shopping for a 2010 at or below invoice over the next couple of months as a cash buyer.

I am hoping I will be able to find a buyer for my car around $39,500.

did your car sale?

The car did not sell. I got two offers one for $38,500 and the other at $39,000 but no sale.

If I can't get close to $40,000 for it on a straight sale, I am going to drive it untill the 2011 comes out then sell and buy. It won't depreciate much more the 2nd year than the first.

What I would really like to do is trade it for a 2010 base car for $1,000 over invoice at $44,700. I could then take about $37,700 for mine and trade for $7,000 trade difference. My car would be an easy sale around $39,000.

A trade will save me nearly $2,300 in sales tax.

In my .02 cents you should have taken the $39,000 offer. Its only 1k off from what you wanted and still a good price. Then you could have bought the new GT500 that you're clearly wanting.

But I understand I guess if you're not in a rush to sell...

Roger that, I don'y have to sell and won't unless I get my price of $39,975 minimum. Would love to have a 2010 but if I have to wait later in the year mine won't depreciate that much more but the 2010s will. Also by Fall we may know more about the 2011. As soon as news comes out about it the value of the 2010s will drop like a rock.

I was going to order a 2010 Ragtop and when I went into the local dealer the salesman told me to hold off until the 2011 cars come out. The 2010 is nice but when the 2011 specs were released I would have serious buyers remorse. So I bought my termi to hold me over..lol

Check this out, the 2010 GT buyers are already moaning, can the new GT500 engine be very far behind this?

My 2009 has been sold and is no longer available.

Now I have to decide which color I want for the 2010.:??:
