Don't know where else to put this question, hope it gets seen in here.

I got a couple SVT centercaps at the FFW in Commerce yesterday. They are different...but why?

One has a spacer that surrounds the outer circumference of the centercap. The other is the same diameter but doesn't have the spacer.

The one with the spacer was made in July 2000. The one without the spacer was made in January 2001. The one with the spacer is part no. 2M5V-1A096-AA, while the one without the spacer is 2M5V-1A096-AB, which indicates a revision.

Can anyone tell me what the earlier centercap came on stock? The later centercap I recognize as the same one that I got on my 03 Cobra, stock...maybe Ford had some leftover 1998 centercaps that were smaller diameter and put spacers on them for the 03 Cobra wheels? I checked them in my 03 Cobra race wheels I'm working on and they fit fine...

Those caps would cost you $11.72 each and I have them in stock.

I am not sure why the ones you have are different, it could be as simple as a change in supplier to Ford.

The SVT Focus and Cobra all use the same center caps.

I can be reached at 1-800-328-9552 ask for Steve.

I can't PM you because your box is full.
