Like prdtr15 said, the Supra's aftermarket has been around a lot longer than the '03/04 Cobras. EvillSupra, you trash someone else for not doing their research, yet there's been several of '03s deep into the 9s already (Strictly being one of them.) But nevermind that, it's not important. You posted a list of people with turbo Supras who are in the 8s, 9s and 10s. Lining most of the top 20, you don't see very many who don't have the backing of at least one race shop. That's going to be the case for any car that dips into those times.. they're going to require a LOT of cash or a LOT of sponsorship. Comparing the number of people in the 8-10sec range with Supras versus Cobras is pointless. Take a snapshot of that list you posted; then come back in ten years.. and, assuming SVTP is here and there's a similar list posted, you'll probably find the that it's about the same. There is no "who's better?".. there's only "how much will it cost?" When the aftermarket for the Cobras begin to mature, you're going to find cams, intakes, turbos, more superchargers, autos, strong IRS rears, and a slew of other things. Exactly what happened with the Supra. You'll also see a lot more of the focus for the Cobra focusing on street and strip, rather than track and road. The argument about 'oh, whatever, I can still outhandle you' is moot. The Cobra is no slouch, even with it's portly weight. No Cobra owner would claim a stock Cobra would outhandle a stock Supra. But the same amount of money a Supra owner would put into power, the Cobra owner could put into suspension/chassis mods and they'd probably end up at the same level, both in handling and power. The only thing that you really should be razzing the '03 Cobras for is this: It took a domestic car maker over 10 years to put out something that rivals the legendary import Supra. With some of the technological wonders like the Skyline still to come, domestic car makers better get their act together. Every other argument is pointless considering the uneven ground.
