Supercharger Whine

Car has just over 25K miles on her. Based on a buddies recommendation I changed the "100,000 mile" charger oil (Factory Eaton). As soon as I did the charger got almost whisper quiet. I hear the belt (hood blanket removed), but I have to wind the engine up under power to over 5K to really hear the trademark scream. I also just installed the JLT fender mount CAI and that didnt change anything as far as charger whine. I have listened to other videos of 03/04 on youtube and have heard incredible whine under minimal power.

I'm sure a lot that you hear whine on YouTube are also ported.

with the stock pulley, when we removed the stock air box and did a ram air setup, the blower got louder. Back then a lot of us did the steeda cold air. changing the oil IMO will not effect the sound of the blower. smaller the pulley, the louder it will be even at minimal power.
