Had to replace the long block in my family's 275k+ mile 2002, now the shop says the supercharger is bad. Said the rotorcoating is bad and coming down through to the engine.

Shop says they found one stock replacement in Cali for an amount of money that seems insane.

Anyone know good source for stock(ish) blowers? Motor going in is stock refurb, so not looking to make huge power, just get back to former glory

There are several porting service companys to choose from. They can do a rebuild and tweak it a bit too for more power from efficiency.
Id check into that before buying a new one.

the rotor coating is not a huge deal - remove rotor pack, coat with aircraft stripper, wipe off coating, reinstall rotor pack. You may lose a basically un-discernible amount of boost but it wont hurt anything

or as mentioned could have someone like Joker porting rebuild the snout and port it or something along those lines as well as strip the rotors.

The coating won't get into the engine. I'd disassemble the blower, strip the rotors and live a happy life
