My first choice would be anything 2014 and under F-150 with the 5.0. I have a friend who bought his 2013 F-150 new with the 5.0 and it has been a good truck. He has over 80,000 miles on it with no issues using it as a truck. The bed sides over the fender wells are rusting out due to Ford quality issues but that is it. Still has the original ford battery too. My second choice, 2014-2018(previous body style to the current one) Chrevrolet or GMC 1/2 ton truck with the 5.3. They’re an amazing engine and just run. They do have issues with the lifter failures but not near as common on the older truck if you keep the oil changed. I have an uncle with a 2wd 2018 Silverado work truck with the 5.3 he bought with under 20,000 miles on it. He has over 80,000 miles on it now. Zero issues. He pulls a toy hauler, ditch witch and multiple other things with it often. It rides nice as well. Sent from my iPhone using svtperformance.com
