I don't know where you are but I had Precision Motorsports in Milford, MA weld in mine. He estimated 6-8 hours but did it in less and charged a flat rate ($60-65/hr if I remember correctly). You can contact Tom Kelly @ 508-634-8588

For that money plus the connectors you could have had custom through the floors installed which are a much better connector anyway. Tube chassis gets $350 installed for them and you have the car back the same day. I paid $150 to have my full length Maximum Motorsports connectors installed.
