sub-frame connectors

:coolman: to those of you who have fitted sub-frame connectors.....do you think it best to have them powder-coated before fitting, or does this make the welding job the more difficult? What did you do about painting or rust-prevention on yours? Thanks for any input.

My powder coated MMFLSFC'c have rusted nowhere but where the installer sprayed with spray paint (the little triangle brace pieces)

Get them powdercoated or they will be red and furry in no time.

Now I have to get mine sandblasted and then go in for undercoating.

You want to get them powdercoated. The powdercoat that MM uses is some tough sh*t. There is no way you are going to spray paint them to be able to equal the durability of the powdercoat. What I did was bought them powdercoated then prepped them down the rails were they were going to be welded with a 4" sanding wheel disk. Then painted them completelly with weld-through primer. Had them welded up and then primered them with Rustoleum Industrial Primer and then finished with Rustoleum Industrial Enamel. No rust.
