STS-v is bigger, has the N-star v8, has little aftermarket support.
CTS-V is smaller, has ls6 or ls2, has a shit ton of support for the motor, trans, etc and is starting to get more upgrades for the rear.

They're talking about the new CTS-V with the revised motor and new design.

I like the CTS-V more. I just like the LSX engines more than the Northstar. Plus, I like the looks of the CTSV better. Especially the 4 door ones. I think the 2 door ones look a little weird.

Original sts caddies had cooling issues as the heat exchanger couldn't keep up with the heat from the supercharger. Also much squishier suspension comparatively.

Which years are you interested in/comparing?

original poster, it depends, very much, on whether or not you're talking about the newer cts-v's (2009-current). they are completely different from the earlier models. i have a 2010 cts-v and there's not much around (stock) that will hang with it, and its a family car.

power everything, heated/cooled recaro seats, touchscreen nav, and every possible amenity you'd want. the best part is the blown 6.2 liter v8 with 556hp. 0 to 60 in under 4 seconds. they're not cheap, and if you're looking at sts-v's i'm going to assume you're talking about the earlier cts-v's, which i would still rather have over the sts-v.

I stopped by the Advance Auto Saturday morning to pick up a few things, and there was brand new CTS-V with black wheels in the parking lot, it looked sharp. On looks alone I'd have to say the CTS-V.

Crap I used to beat on the older 400HP CTS-Vs with my 2005 E55 guess the new ones wouldnt be such an easy kill.
