I had talked to the airport before about an event. We were trying for a big autox event but because of plnes landing it was not possible. So how about a street style event. Many items need to be addressed such as insurance, tarmac fees, entry fees etc.
The event would be called "The one with the most toys win" A couple of the svtoa board members have been talking about it for more then a year so if the interest is there we might be able to put this on before summer. Every paid participant would recieve a hot wheel car.
It would be just like you are on the street at any light. When the light goes on it's pedal to the metal. The length would be about 1/8 mile, your typical stop light to stop light race. If you lose you give you car to the winner. You can purchase additional car if you want to continue. It will be open to ford vehicles and their friends. So if you plan on bringing out your ford vehicle you can bring along a friend who owns other makes. Street tires only. Haven't made a decision wether or not to allow street drag tires.
