Tommy,

The M/T is not my daily drivers but could be. 60' is 1.768 first time out. R888's are almost the same. I only ran my M/T's at 17 pounds. Next time I will try 13 pounds. I expect the M/T's to be better at the track after I figure out my air pressure and burn-out.

The M/T's don't handle anywhere close to my Toyo R888 Proxes which completely changed the handling for the better. In addition, the R888's hook WAY better than the Goodyear F1. Here is a picture of the R888's in 305/35R18:

Nitto 305-35-18 = 26.42 Tall -- Width 12.40
Nitto 305-40-18 = 27.72 Tall -- Width 12.13

Toyo Proxes TQ 315-35-18 = 26.60 Tall Width 12.50

Toyo Proxes R888 305-35-18 = 26.3 Tall Width 12.4
Toyo Proxes R888 315/30-18 = 25.5 Tall Width 12.5

GT500 2007-2008 have 27inch Tall Tires and 11.4 wide so every tire above is wider then the factory F1 however none of them are exactly the same height. So your choices are either taller or shorter.. each will change slightly your speedo I am guessing because your rev's per mile is going to change. Taller tire your speedo will be slower, smaller will be faster. You can adjust with programmer if you have one.

The Nitto 555 is a drag radial. The Toyo R888 is a street-legal competition road racing tire with incredible handling and also hooks wonderfully. You do not want to run the R888 with low pressure due to the sidewall construction. They are 2 very different tires. You should look on the website at the R888 details. Toyo Competition Tires
