ok so at light throtle i can hear a tapping /ticking sound dont think its in motor becuase it will not happen while sitting still whether in gear or not clutch in /out doesnt matter only does it while moving. its driving me nuts since i cant pop the hood and listen to where its coming from not even sure its under hood . my odometer stoped working could it be something to do with that? any thoughts? also sound like its in front of me thanks for any help

Probably an exhaust leak. Mine is doing tr same thing since I got some new exhaust recently. I think a bolt might've come loose. But your odometer won't have anything to do with that. And that's an easy fix by the way. Assuming your car is a 94-98 stang here's a gear replacement for it. All you gotta do is remove the gauge cluster and replace the gear and little worm piece.
