Stock thermostrat

What is the temperature range of our stock 03 thermostat? Do you guys recommend changing the stock out for a lesser degree thermostat? Is this task of changing out the thermostat an easy job? I am in Florida and it is 90 here everday now. Just trying to keep my car running cool as possible.

Culater. I got the Auto Meter Temp Gauge & its really not that bad in 90 temps. I havent seen our summer temps of 100+ in SF Valley yet but i wouldnt mess with it yet. My gauge reads in the 165 - 185F pretty much all day long but in hard WOT runs around town it will stay in the 185F if the outside temp is at 90F.

Our factory rating should be at 185. Opens 10F after which is at 195F.

212F should be max that we want to see on the engine.

I have a Hypertech PowerStat 160 sitting around, but will wait until more evidence of its benefits are made available. I'll be in touch with Poisonous Mods to see what temps summer brings =>)

Im waiting on the summer weather to use the Water Wetter. Im hoping to test it in high out side temps to see the stock & after. This way i can see the real difference & if its worth the 5bucks.
