Not sure if you are inferring this, but the "stock Eaton" generally infers an unported blower. If the case is ported, then it is a "modified Eaton".

You should have little problem hitting 555+ RWHP whether the Eaton is ported or not. But getting your case ported (Posi does a great job for $500), will generally give you at least 30 RWHP and makes achieving the higher 500 horsepower levels very easily attainable.
