Is $58,000 the new $65,000?

First off, i am a Ford guy and i own a 2008,GT500 which i still race. I love mustangs and love Ford(except for Greedy dealers like Fred Beans), and i love my Cobra.
But last night, i took my Stock Redeye with DR’s to the local (to me) track. No special driver, with engineers on hand and specially prepped track. Just Friday night Test and tune at Atco. Raced with the tires i drove in on, and that i also usually drive on daily.
ripped off a 10.22@134. And it was effortless.
I think someone caught the 10.22@134 on video so look for it on Youtube.
Why am i posting it here? Well, i thought you all might like to know, before you plunk down 75k-95k plus 5-10 in markups on your GT500, that there are alternatives out there. No, it won't be as fast around a race track. But these Redeyes, do absolutely Rip at the Strip, and they make great everyday cars that can actually carry 4-5 people.
And the value proposition cant be beat!
My OTD cost- $58k - new 2019 redeye.
Its a great time to be alive when we have awesome offerings from both Ford and Mopar!
Keep in mind, i am not DragStrip hero like Evan Smith. Im just a normal guy with his 4th trip to the track with his Redeye, and a not unlimited budget.
On a 17” weld and drag radial with seat time, it probably had a 9 in it.
Nice. This stock gt500 with handling package gurney flap and dive planes went 10.7@131 with 28psi on stock 20” tires then he cheated and dropped air to 24psi and ran [email protected]
This was speed phenoms first time to a drag strip. Some of his reaction times were 5 seconds.
On a 17” weld and drag radial with seat time, it probably had a 9 in it. He ran 1.72 60ft on the 24psi pass. Very nicely prepped track. He was running 3200rpm 2step.
Dude, that is NOT STOCK.
Reduced air pressure in the tires is cheating.
OP has over .2 advantage in the first 60-feet alone on the DRs. Take the drag increasing bits off and better air and tires and the GT500 will be a bottom 10 car. Really aggressive tires next fall at a Northeast track and 9.9X is possible on stock engine.
I agree. Me and another Mustang buddy were talking about that earlier.Take the drag increasing bits off and better air and tires and the GT500 will be a bottom 10 car. Really aggressive tires next fall at a Northeast track and 9.9X is possible on stock engine.

Definitely hitting high 9's.
Yes but with a better tire you can launch harder. Why is this so hard to understand?I'll believe it when I see it. I can see the GT500 going 10.2's with a dr only, but the car in the video wasn't spinning.
I guess over 350'.what was the DA when this car was running? No way DR only will bring it down to 9s. With a tune and drag setup easy 9s imo
I did see that Richard.see above. but if it does and can be verified I'm in, even with some ADM.
