Stock motor Boss goes 202.7mph @ TX Mile

#698 went 202.7 on the first pass this morning.
Stock motor, headers and 6r80 auto trans.
Mods are KB LC 3.6 @ 16 psi, Fore return fuel system and rails with ID 2000 injectors, BMR UCA/LCAs, 3.15 gears, circle D converter, offload X, stock mid and borla axle back, 19" stock wheels with Toyo R888s. Tuned by Jon Lund. :beer:

The goal was 200mph and the car did it easily with a 3.75" pulley, bad take off, and hitting the rev limiter in 5th before the mile marker!

Just got it dialed in this morning, so no 1/4 time yet.

I don't know what the limiter is, but he is not allowing it to shift into 6th. No tape, stock everything on body of the car, no weight reduction, 3/4 tank of gas. Only suspension is uca/Lca.

Lund's turbo 2011 did 206 in March 2012, but I agree it would be nice to see what a hellion car does in a race.

Lund's turbo 2011 did 206 in March 2012, but I agree it would be nice to see what a hellion car does in a race.

Yes Lund's car is very fast but what interests me more about the 302 is the the already forged engine. Buying a turbo kit, BAP, gears,and better tires and possibly having a car that will do 200+ in the mile for that price is very impressive.

I'm curious as to how this would fare with the stock 6 speed.

From my experience, not very well. I broke the MT82 3 times in 4500 miles with 750ish rwhp, hence the 6R80 swap. I wanted to keep it legit factory Ford.

Smartest move you made in your project in my opinion. Expensive but well worth it

Car must be an all out animal around town with this combo!

If you want a high HP boss 302 with a reliable M6 I recommend a T56 Magnum.
