Stock Ignition Timing

Stock ignition timing at full throttle on my 2014 5.0 Auto is showing 22.5* in the midrange rising to 25.0 on the topend. I thought these cars had less timing than that?

PS Could be because of the low load... (2nd Gear on Street).

Depends on different variables. A lot will drpend on the quality of fuel being used.

Wow my top end stock was 22 and 24 - 27 after tune depending on who's tune I ran.

you could do that test in 3 different gears and likely see 3 different results due to the load differences like you said. higher gear = higher load = different target.
