stock catback?

well i ordered a 2 1/2" x pipe, then crawled under the car and it looks like my catback is 2 1/4. what size should the stock catback be? it has weld in flows but the rest is stock. i am not sure if the xpipe will work or not. what did you guys do? o and it is a 99

Stock exhaust is 2 1/4. I am not positive on this, but I think all X and H pipes will fit a 2 1/4, 2.5, and 3in cat back.

You'll be fine. I bolted my 2.5" x-pipe to my stock cat back with no problems.
